Our Sales Team plays a key role in forming the link between AstraZeneca as an organisation and our healthcare care professionals in both Private, and Public Healthcare System to deliver on our commercial objective. What you’ll do?

You be part of a sales team that fuse out of the box thinking with an enterprise-wide mindset – applying our knowledge to directly contribute to business outcomes.

Your role will play a crucial part in  providing high-level confidential administrative support to the Sales and Finance teams within South Africa by preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing administrative functions such as preparing correspondence, arranging flights and accommodation when necessary, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

With your strong administrative skills your key focus areas will include the following:

  • Application of CPD certificates and facilitating payments to HCOS & HCPS.
  • Providing administrative support for Sales Force and Sales Support function.
  • Co-ordinating meetings and off-site events including hotel bookings, local travel and transfer arrangements and handling emergency travel situations for both AZ and external visitors
  • Obtaining, collating and carrying out routine manipulation of information from readily available sources
  • Generating routine reports within clear guidelines and timetables to meet the ongoing needs of the function

Sales, Operations Administration

  • Balancing of cash receipts and updating of customer accounts. Support on ageing analysis.
  • Stock report correction on all sales items not posted via interface CTR;
  • Balancing daily sales on SAP;
  • Processing FCF controls for monthly cycle with required evidence as per the related controls scope;
  • Management of PRs/POs/Payments as of agreed scope;
  • Price List update on SAP when requested
  • Bank statement checks for state channel customers payment and allocation

Sales Force Support

  • Maintaining current knowledge of AstraZeneca policies and procedures; and standards of practice (SOP’s).
  • Identifying developmental needs and locate appropriate learning resources.
  • Organizing and managing events relating to Sales Department.
  • Vendor management and ensuring that timeous payment is met.
  • Management of Purchasing Requests (PR)  on SAP, with timeous release of PR by SD to ensure that all payments are made on time.
  • Ensuring that all CPD applications are done after all meetings are completed, and active follow up with relevant stake holders.
  • Supporting  the Sales Force with any Ad hoc requirements they might need.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?

  • Matric Qualification with Secretarial qualification
  • 1-2 years Administration experience
  • Knowledge of the function, its structure, and relevant local procedures
  • SAP experience an advantage

Desirable for the role

  • Experience in working in Pharmaceutical an advantage
  • Basic customer service skills
