Job Description
- Ensure good control in place for the trade spend management process with clear ownership and compliance with accounting standards.
- Take custody of the process and control of trade investment ensuring spend are initiated, authorized, processed, and paid in accordance with approved procedures/guidelines.
- Maintain regular contact with the sales team to ensure all relevant documents are promptly recorded and verified. Liaise directly with customers to ensure all relevant documents related to dealers’ deductions are promptly received. Arrange meeting with customers for collection of documents if required.
- Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of trade investment ensuring spend is reflected in the financial account accurately and promptly and reconcile with actual claims received.
- Responsible for all monthly closing, provision reconciliation, and system maintenance relating to sales and trade investment ensuring spend is correctly reflected by customers.
- Responsible for all reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting of gross to net and sales analysis.
- Prepare a qualitative explanation of trade investment performance compared with the latest plan and prior year.
- Recommend and implement change to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the business within the area of responsibility.
- Provide financial support to the sales team in customers’ trade term review, trade investment plan evaluation, sales planning etc.
- Drive the Compass initiatives to ensure sales teams evaluate ROI on trade spend, establish conditionality of customer terms, and develop customer profitability analysis.
- Optimize Trade Spending and Customer Mix – Adult Nutrition sales team analyzes trade spending plans to maximize Net Pricing and reduce Gross to Net.
- Responsible for pricing maintenance, sales closing, and sales planning functions.
- Assist any other tasks and projects as needed.
