Job Description

The incumbent would be assigned to a senior high performing ($330,000/year in revenues) Sales Officer Mentor to serve in a mentor capacity. The mentor's role would be to facilitate the development of the Sales Officer to be revenue - producing member of the Regional Sales Team. The primary responsibility of the position is to source referral sources and prospects and closing of new business with the mentor, with a focus on the sales aspect of the process. The incumbent will be exposed to the sales process as in developing, marketing and closing strategic prospects needing the Bank of New York Mellon Private Asset Management's investment management, fiduciary trust, custodial and depository services and how to develop incremental new business to increase sales revenue while retaining and enhancing current strategic clients with new business opportunities in above areas.

Qualifications

The incumbent should possess two to four years experience in the sales area, preferably in financial services. This is experience typically acquired by performing sales analysis or marketing plan preparation or through demonstrated direct sales ability of a financial product. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The incumbent must possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
