Job Description
The Role
With the Core Strategic Vision, the SDE program is on a mission to develop future leadership who could take the next responsibility to become a trusted advisor in Account Management. You will start by growing your business acumen and sales capabilities with a wide coverage of customers from all business units. The role expects you to further develop core essentials of customer engagement and discovery beyond the technical/operational needs toward business and personal domains. Leadership capabilities are critical for success in this role, every extra mile you set to accelerate your demand generation skills will result making our customer more competitive, bringing growth opportunities to stakeholders, and generating a positive influence within our people.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize customer experience as the primary NI representative for any business contact
- Achieve pipeline creation goals by qualifying Opportunities/Quotes/Potential Contacts from various sources including proactive prospecting calls
- Continuous development on individual skills with a strong focus on “Demand Generation” for next career paths
- Equip knowledge of latest industry/application trends in order to talk through with the lens of the customer, not only from our platform view
- Lead and influence others beyond the SDE team with innovative ideas and collaboration
- Demonstrate daily behaviors with the vision of the “To Be” state aligned with high level company visions and strategies
- Provide pre-sales technical consulting to prospects and customers over phone and email
- Use business skills in working with prospects and customers to understand if there is a mutually beneficial opportunity for them to do business with NI
- Handle a variety of pre-sales questions from potential clients related to technical specifications, pricing and availability of various solutions

- Have a desire to combine technical and business concepts in a consulting capacity
- Seek opportunities to build strong peer relationships within NI
- Love working directly with NI’s customers on a daily basis

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
- +6 months in AE/ELP with a track record of performance and taking initiative
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong Mandarin and English skills in verbal, reading, and writing
- Experience supporting LabVIEW, RIO, DAQ, and PXI platforms
- Solid understanding of electronics and high-level programming languages
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering)
Preferred Qualifications
- Aspiration to pursue a sales professional career
- Business level English skills both written and verbal
- Excellent time/task management prioritized on practical needs
- Technical/knowledge expertise in specific industry, application, or NI solution
