Sales Engineer, Tower Engineering

Position Summary:

A Sales Engineer is focused on finding new business opportunities with new and existing DXW+ accounts. As such you are responsible for selling subscriptions and renewing them.

You are responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for users and prospects located within your defined geographic territory for our OpenTower products.

You are expected to build you own sales pipeline, to prospect and develop business, respond to incoming sales leads, give presentations and product demonstrations. You will devote considerable amount of time to visiting prospects, existing users and sales events in your assigned territory.

Our users are nearly without exception practitioners which means they are experts in their field of business. To be able to serve them best, you need to speak their language.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Responsible for selling assigned brands into both net new and existing users.
  • Creating effective business plans, prospecting for net new business opportunities and driving sales in assigned territory to exceed quota.
  • Develop relationships at various levels including C-Level, VPs, Directors with target accounts through use of direct sales techniques and conduct on-site meetings.
  • Develop a sales pipeline and forecast all revenue by effectively following sales process and managing all opportunities in CRM. Adhere to the Bentley Sales Process fully utilizing SAP Cloud for Sales (C4S) as a daily sales tool and reporting system.
  • Promote our value proposition to designers, engineers, architects, contractors and owners by providing technical solutions to help the customer's meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Deliver software demonstrations for qualified prospects and users.
  • Participate in relevant exhibitions, trade shows, and other events.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all Commercial Offerings and Software Support Policies.
  • High level use and comfort utilizing social media and prospecting intelligence resources.
  • Negotiate sales and/or service agreements.
  • Maintain a high knowledge level of the company's solutions and services.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent level achieved through experience
  • You gained engineering experience (preferably 2 to 3 years) in (radio) tower engineering; probably you like the engineering world but found out that you don’t want to be a practicing engineer
  • You have commercial talent, minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service are required, and can close a deal in a pleasant non-intrusive manner
  • You are a self-starter
  • You combine customer focus with being service oriented and highly motivated
  • You have a positive attitude, eye for detail, are resourceful and inquisitive
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone, web and face-to-face
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • You should have the ability to travel up to 50% of your time
  • Living in the designated sales territory will turn out to be essential
  • Although you will be working alone when out in the territory, you should be able to work effectively in a team together with your colleagues in the office. The success of DXW+ is a team effort

 

Additional Information:

DXW+ acts as Bentley Channel partner, focused on selling subscription packages to practitioners (engineers, architects, etc.). Each subscription package contains a 12-months Bentley software subscription plus a subscription to expert (technical) advise. DXW+ is part of Bentley Systems International Ltd.

At this moment we offer subscriptions to AutoPIPE, OpenFlows, OpenSite Designer, PLAXIS and are adding OpenTower. We have just left the conceptual stage behind us and are ramping up the sales. Therefore, we quickly want to expand our team and are looking for new colleagues to join and help making this exciting start-up a success!

As a Sales Engineer you generate sales revenue to meet or exceed established sales goals in (software) subscriptions. You develop business opportunities in your assigned territory through your own efforts and those of your colleagues. In addition, you will qualify all incoming sales leads generated from any source and act upon the qualification accordingly.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self-motivated, can work independently, have preferably experience with selling to engineers and you speak the language of our users and prospects because you have experience in/with Geotechnology.
