Job Description

The Fairmont Amman features 317 luxurious guestrooms and suites including Fairmont Gold, the brand’s hotel within a hotel featuring amenities such as private reception and guest lounge. The hotel’s food and beverage offerings will provide unique concepts designed to add flair and sophistication to an already exciting city.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Research databases with focus on local contacts
  • Work with sales team to research past users
  • Prospect new client opportunities through networking, face to face appointments and researching industry news
  • Assisting in sales based activities when required to generate short-term business into Fairmont St Andrews
  • Participate in telesales blitz’s as and when required
  • Carry out site inspections for prospective clients
  • Update activity in Sales & Catering as required
  • When required, handle incoming enquiries, input enquiry details into Sales & Catering and generate a detailed proposal
  • Efficiently follow up with any client enquiries
  • Attend relevant meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous Sales experience required in luxury hotels
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required 
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
