Under the guidance of the Account Director – Business Travel responsible for maximising rooms and catering business from a defined account base. Proactively uncovers new prospects for the property and maximising conversion of business in line with the Hotels’ budgetary goals. This position is considered to be a key role within the Sales structure, and requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative. Represents Marriott International worldwide, promoting the quality image of the company at every opportunity, and uncovering additional leads for Marriott International through MI Leads.
Works closely with Sales Team to achieve both personal revenue goals (by working towards an agreed account list) and the budgeted goals of the Property.
Proactively manages a pre-determined target accounts to ensure maximum yield in rooms and catering revenue in line with budgetary objectives.
Accomplishes solicitation goals and relevant action plans for each account and ensures follow-up is executed in a timely manner.
Proactively sources and prospects new accounts following the sales process through to convert into ‘producing’ accounts.
Takes personal responsibility for understanding the Sales & Marketing plan and the required budgetary guidelines of the Hotel, and enables empowered decisions in all rate negotiations.
Communicates client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments as required, ensures delivery of superior guest service.
Accomplishes projects assigned accurately and within the required deadline and supports Account Director with any additional projects as required.
Builds strong relationships with clients through entertainments, corporate events and personalized services.
- Attends networking events and workshops as required.
Re-negotiates corporate rate agreements within budgetary guidelines for all corporate accounts within agreed time frames.
