Sales Executive, The Netherlands

JOB PURPOSE
Performs a range of responsibilities that enables opportunity identification and development in order to drive increased sales in existing and new accounts.  Applies deep sales and product/vertical expertise in order to grow new business.

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Identify and gather new clients for SDL
* Build a strong short and long term pipeline
* Deliver revenue growth goals
* Follow up on pipelines for business expansion
* Foster strong client relationships
* Build trusting, collaborative relationships with Clients of all levels
* Build strong internal relationships with the people responsible for executing what you have sold
* Provide appropriate management reporting and updates, and solicit feedback and direction when appropriate

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Works with the outside sales representatives and Inside Sales to develop specific strategies and plans for developing business and maximizing existing client relationships to drive new sales opportunities;
* Identifies and implements appropriate methods for reaching potential clients and decision makers, often for new accounts, complex or diverse markets, or for new SDL solutions;
* Generates well-defined leads and works with the outside sales representative to follow the progress and assist where needed;
* Works with management to support the operational effectiveness of the focused initiatives;
* Demonstrates an understanding of the client’s business and effectively highlights appropriate product features and benefits that can address the client’s requirements;
* Actively listens to the client’s needs and requirements in order to better qualify the lead and uncover new opportunities;
* Makes decisions about leads to pursue that will have the greatest potential benefit;
* Continuously developing knowledge in SDL products and services;
* Participates in and promotes the use of a variety of learning opportunities (e.g., on-the-job, formal training, design communities.);
* Seeks feedback, coaching and/or mentoring in order to develop sales expertise and evolve career;
* Builds strong working relationships internally by demonstrating a strong commitment to solving client business needs, enabling a results oriented team, and delivering value add to the sales process;
* Quickly establishes new client relationships and effectively maintains a client network through effective communication and managing contacts.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hunter mentality with ability to source leads, qualify opportunities and close deals;
* Experience with Sales of language services and technologies;
* Ability to build and execute prospecting strategies;
* Ability to cold call into an organisation and identify key decision makers and influencers;
* Tenacious, positively aggressive and extremely results driven. You want to be at the top of the leader board and hate losing. We are looking for quota killers, not quota achievers;
* Aptitude and willingness in learning fast;
* Creative, disruptive and versatile; able to think fast and out-of-the-box;
* Strong communication and presentation skills;
* Self-motivated and able to appropriately set and pursue own goals in support of the organisation's goals

SKILLS
* Dutch mother-tongue. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English;
* 1-2 year experience in a services sales, business development or similar outbound customer-centric position;
* Experience in the translation industry would be an asset;
* Strong influencing skills;
* Skilled communicator with a dynamic and engaging phone presence who excels in questioning and listening to determine the prospect's needs;
* Ability to communicate solutions and ideas at a high level;
Can do attitude, quick learner, independent and self-motivated;
* Resourcefulness, sales skills and the ability to coordinate activities across company functions;
* Ability to define problems, understand business and technical requirements, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to define value propositions, solutions and sales strategies;
* Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as effective human relations skills and proactive approach to the sales process;
* Excellent in-person and phone-based presentation skills;
* Fast learner who enjoys self-education
* Bachelor and/or Master degree
