Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and formulate key sales strategies across all MICE and leisure channels for China markets in order to achieve the admission revenue and other revenue targets
  • Develop incremental business from all channels including OTAs, wholesale agents, commercial organizations, MICE organizers, student tour organizers in China markets
  • Implement effective sales and marketing activities including organizing road shows, travel trade product seminars, media luncheons in the major markets
  • Build and maintain business relationship with key leaders in travel and tourism industry, identify new opportunities while maintain relevant consumer and industry trends, and formulate appropriate strategic moves in response to such trends
  • Build close working relationship with the representatives of other departments including Marketing, Business Analytic, F&B, Retail, Discovery & Education and Operations Departments, etc. to 1) formulate and align go-to-market strategies for meeting business goals; 2) ensure product strategies and promotional tactics are mutually beneficial to clients; 3) resolve all high level operational issues
  • Ensure fiscal management accountability for the team’s overall expenditure budget, especially the co-op budget that the team invest with contracted distribution partners in tactical channel promotions for driving business

Qualification:
  • Bachelor degree holder, MBA preferred
  • At least 12 years of experience in hospitality, travel and tourism industry
  • Demonstrate a high degree of versatility to lead teams with focus on key feeders’ markets; i.e. Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Korea
  • Extensive experience with the travel trade industry and established sales network with the key market players – including major conventional offline and online travel agencies, transport providers (airlines), and local in-market distributors (hotels, land operators and other attractions)
  • Being both tactical and strategic – able to identify risk, new opportunities, and formulate appropriate channel strategy and tactics for major markets
  • Fluent in English & Chinese, both written and spoken, Cantonese is a plus
