Job Description

Microsoft’s National Security business has an immediate opening for a Director of the National Intelligence Sales team. This position is based in the Washington, DC area.

The team focuses on digital transformation and enterprise solution revenue opportunities within the Intelligence community. The Sales Director provides an executive presence for the customer relationships and plays a critical role in driving our customer's digital transformation journey. The Director of this team sets strategy and develops and executes the business plan for a team comprised of program management, sales, technical support, and technology evangelists.

Responsibilities

The Director must effectively uncover, assess, and prioritize current and future opportunities while working directly with the customer, internal organizations within Microsoft, the Federal SI community and the Federal partner ecostructure. The National Intelligence Sales team is responsible for understanding and influencing customer-specific technology requirements, resulting in the adoption of Microsoft solutions in strategic, business, and mission applications. The Director should be familiar with Federal acquisition regulations, policies, and architectures. The Director of this highly visible business should have extensive experience working with strategic Intelligence organizations and should be deeply familiar with the organizational makeup, core missions and strategies of the intelligence mission systems and information technology environments.

Qualifications

Knowledge of and work experience with mission systems and strategic programs are considered mandatory.

This position will be filled with an experienced, professional leader and communicator who is comfortable in front of large groups as well as senior intelligence and industry personnel and should have a good understanding of Microsoft solutions and associated technologies.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 10+ years technology sales experience working with the Intelligence Community; strong expertise with enterprise and cloud solutions; exceptional leadership, negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written and verbal communication skills; this position will require 35-40% domestic travel with occasional international travel.
  • Prior experience working with Intelligence Community customers is desired.
  • This position reports to the General Manager of Microsoft’s National Security business unit in Washington, DC.

 

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.   Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

 

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
