Job Description
Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Sales Manager, Aftermarket to join our team. This position is based in the following states: Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. Position Overview: Manage initiatives within the territory to achieve Vehicle Group North America business objectives. More specifically, the Parts Solutions Manager’s (PSM) role is structured within the Aftermarket organization to grow aftermarket commercial truck part sales; responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with key customers in the assigned territory including fleets, independent distributors, dealers, and independent service garages. Additional responsibility with completing and executing strategic territory plans to achieve desired business growth. In this role, you will: Develop and implement business plans to support territory, region, and division objectives. Establish the following internal reports on customer activities: Value Sales Cycle Reports to report out the following sales activities wins & losses, target product metrics, sales probabilities, barriers to sales efforts, accounts at risk, etc. Customer Contact Reports (CCRs) to report out the following: desired product enhancements, current product performance issues, competitive activity, market trends, etc. Territory Monthly Report to update on business status, market trends, etc. Assess customer requirements and identify unique needs at targeted accounts. Design value propositions to drive year over year growth and focus on business sustainability. Collaborate across all components of the Sales & Marketing organization including technical services, call center, aftermarket, and others to facilitate customer issue resolution. Promote service and solutions including the following products (drivetrain components, synthetic lubricants, Service Ranger4 to ensure sales growth. Evaluate and recommend incentive requirements, utilizing market intelligence, and administer incentive processes to ensure that we provide the best value to our customers. Manage the market introduction of new products to ensure products are adopted quickly. Assure reliability, accuracy, and relevancy of data in Customer Information System and Opportunity tracking System C360 Develop and monitor customer contact goals to ensure we grow our spec market and gather the voice of the customer (VOC). Develop, implement, and manage territory product support and training strategies for new and existing aftermarket products to maintain customer and expanded channel customer (such as IAM) relationships and ensure our customers will want to do more business with Eaton Vehicle Group. Conduct Customer Relationship Reviews (CRRs) to facilitate continuous improvement of Roadranger products and support the Eaton Business System (EBS) process. Provide product, service, and warranty training to customers. Drive for expanded aftermarket customer base and unique aftermarket programs. Promote Eaton content in the Independent Aftermarket (IAM), OEM Dealer Channel, regional fleets, and Industry events. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum three (3) years’ experience working for a commercial manufacturing or automotive distribution company OR three (3) years in a vehicle/heavy equipment customer support/sales role Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Candidates must currently reside within the states of Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, or Wisconsin to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Eaton Fuller product or comparable product experience with a focus on service, application, and support Proven “Value Selling” skills Specialized knowledge of business aspects of the trucking industry Experience negotiating, delivering training, and developing business plans Familiar with heavy duty truck parts including transmissions, clutches, and mobile power Position Success Criteria: Must work effectively while traveling up to 50% of the time and working extended hours Communication skills – verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills Computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Ability to influence others both internally and externally Relevant market information and business acumen Time management skills; must respond with sense of urgency to customer requirements Aptitude to develop working knowledge of Clutch and Transmission, Mobile Power their function, as part of a major commercial vehicle “system.” Ability to manage all customers segments (dealer, fleet, transmission rebuilders, and warehouse distributors) in each territory Ability to lift up-to 75 pounds, and maneuver around a class 6,7, or 8 truck Ability to work remotely; must be self-motivated and goal oriented Ability to work on a remote team Consistently acts in an ethical, open, honest, trustworthy, and truthful manner Ability to effectively manage sales channels We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
