Job Description
You are responsible for the execution of the defined commercial strategy and contribute to translate the global strategy into a regional strategy
You proactively provide suggestions for improvements and adjustments in relation to your experience and current market knowledge.
You must be capable of driving the growth of the products, including providing input on the innovation of new products and services
You work towards achieving long term relationships with customers, acting as the primary contact for your customer portfolio
You will be responsible for contract negotiation and price setting in your region with a view to developing turnover by achieving defined sales objectives
You will follow up on the financial status of each customer and also participate at trade shows
You consistently evaluate markets and new opportunities, and work continually towards the goal of finding new customers. Supplemental to making commercial offers, you will collect and process market data which you should share and discuss internally
You evaluate new customer and sales opportunities in line with the current process and strategic direction, and act in a rigorous manner as regards following up on new business opportunities and closing new contracts
You allocate the assigned volumes for the customers, negotiate the best prices and conditions and advise internally the production team production on planning and forecasting
You inform the Customer Sales department regarding customer agreements and complaints and follow them closely until their conclusions
You make sure that you follow up on complaints and assist both internally as well as represent the perspective of the customer in order to find the right solution
You assist customers with quality audits to provide an excellent product quality and service
You should inspire customers to develop new products based on market trends
Qualifications
You should hold a degree as Bio Engineer, Economics, Nutrition and Dietetics or coocking. Overall we are looking for someone with a passion for food.
You have built relevant commercial experience in the Food ingredients sector
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience
You are fluent in English and Chinese. Other languages are a good plus.
You have a good commercial flair and derive satisfaction from finding new markets and customers. A business develoment spirit is a must.
You have strong analytical skills and demonstrate high levels of accuracy
You are based in Asia, preferably Shanghai (or Singapore)
