To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Sales Manager, Heavy Industry, Mining and Oil & Gas, you will be managing and directing the Southern Africa based sales team for the Heavy Industry, Mining & Oil & Gas segment. Your focus is on all Eaton products for the segment, including low voltage, medium voltage switchgear, Power Quality / UPS, Life Safety etc. You will provide team, technical, commercial, and marketing leadership to drive direct reports to secure revenue targets. Your responsibility will be to ensure that Eaton meets the agreed budget targets for sales growth in the defined segment and implement strategic initiatives to grow the business. Your main responsibilities: Define and execute the sales strategy as aligned with the overall CSO sales strategy. Determine, set and manage individual sales targets for the team Define and manage cadence reporting / forecasting from subordinates and to senior team Support product and production strategies by providing market data and feedback Oversee and provide strategic guidance on preparation of projects quotes, lead technical and commercial discussions Manage sales plans by developing and assigning specific regional / territory targets, supporting and motivating sales team members, consulting engineers, VARs and EPCs in achieving their defined plans. Travel to designated territories to support and manage project bidding activity, Execute market strategy building Eaton’s image in target countries: Leads the effort to increase Eaton’s visibility with end users and to establish Eaton’s credibility as a provider of engineered systems. A key focus will be on getting Eaton products added to Approved Vendor Listings / AVL’s in these specialized segments. Analysis, reporting evaluation and development of the agreed KPI’s, maintaining Sales and marketing Reports as required in line with Eaton procedures. Set targets for and monitor the performance of your team, report their performance periodically. Take any actions to address poor performance when applicable. Collect and analyse market information about competitors, market share, products, trends, customer needs and sales strategy. Use that information to address market opportunities and threats in line with the CSO l strategy. Collect information territory and Key Business Drivers therin to shape the future product and sales strategy Maintaining and building relations with important customers. Ensure effective communication and coordination with the other departments as necessary Participate in financial planning and forecasting Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth. Lead the creation and execution of the opportunity plan and coordinate closely all Eaton involved parties to maximize our chances of success and margin. #LI-ID1 Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Advanced/University degree in a related field (ideally Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience ; 5-7 years sales managerial experience and 5-7 years experience in Electrical Industry preferably in Sales High level knowledge of Electrical products specifically in the switchgear space and service capabilities as well as competitors, market knowledge Proven track record of achieving business success as a Sales Manager Experienced manager of people, with track record of managing teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to represent Eaton to senior managers externally and internally; Strong customer focus Experience in working with broad spectrum of customers, partners and agents Have significant experience in creating and presenting customer presentations Must be a creative thinker and have a vision of how to drive continuous improvement What we offer to you: Permanent contract in a fast-growing global company Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team Flexible working solutions (home office, remote, flexible working hours, part time etc.) We make your voice matter - we value safety and trust.
