Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Sales Manager proactive to be part of our luxury lifestyle resort in Southern Spain – Sotogrande, San Roque (Cádiz). 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing and within the limits established by the company's policies and procedures manual, your responsibility will be to develop new business opportunities, while assisting in the management of the hotel's corporate, Leisure and MICE accounts. 

All tasks to be carried out must be performed at the highest level and in accordance with hotel standards, company policies and procedures, objectives and legal requirements.

Customer Orientation

•    To give a professional, friendly and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times.
•    Ensure that all tasks related to guest comfort, guest satisfaction or the impression they receive of the Hotel should be treated with the highest priority.
•    Establish a good working relationship with guest, visitors and colleagues by creating a team that works well together and with other departments.
•    Contribute to guest satisfaction at all times by providing high quality personalized services during their stay.
•    Assist as required/requested to resolve any guest comments and be able to handle them in the most efficient manner.
•    Have knowledge of the facilities and services, events offered by the hotel and the surrounding area and actively promote them.

Operations

•    Maximize Rooms, F&B, and MICE sales.
•    Achieve key performance in relation to appointments, customer interaction and account development.
•    Achieve new business targets and manage an agreed portfolio of accounts to retain and develop business.
•    Assist and collaborate on internal marketing activities, familiarization trips, client hospitality events, presentations, shows and promotional activities.
•    Prepare accurate and prompt cost estimates and respond to clients with budgets.
•    Produce necessary reports on completed sales activity, including details of face-to-face customer appointments, presentations, familiarization trips and any other customer related interactions. 
•    Update and maintain all market segment sales contact lists and information in the systems used.
•    Conduct market research/sales campaigns as required.
•    Compile sales packs and ensure there is an adequate supply of relevant stationery, brochures and giveaways.
•    Research and identify new business opportunities through leads referred by the booking/conference teams and trade listing publications.
•    Assist in office administration by ensuring that all accounts have the necessary documentation, contracts, contact forms and updated account development plans on file. Each account must have a complete and up-to-date account development plan. 
•    Ensure constant awareness of the hotel's financial situation and sales strategy compared to the previous year and current budget.
•    Be aware of the financial performance of the hotel's main competitors, interaction with their customers, their key account base and corresponding rates, as well as any real estate developments.
•    Work closely with Accor's sales network to help achieve the hotel's overall sales target.
•    Attend sales meetings - weekly and monthly.
•    Conduct sales trips to all business areas as specified, both domestically and internationally as required.

•    Courteous and professional attitude with internal and external guests, as well as peers and superiors.
•    Take pride in doing your job well and be an enthusiastic and motivated member of the Sales & Marketing team.
•    Actively contribute to the qualitative and quantitative objectives of the department.
 

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE: 

•    University degree, with a Master degree related to the position.
•    At least 2 years in the same or similar position.
•    Experience in the hotel sector will be an asset.
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
•    Possess strong problem solving skills.
•    Be highly responsible and reliable.
•    Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
•    Have a clear customer focus.
•    Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
