Job Description
Position Summary:
The Sales Operations Analyst II – Commissions role is primarily responsible for calculating sales commissions and managing the sales compensation plans. Additionally the role will support the sales operations team with commercial reporting, some CRM support, and support with commercial processes. This role operates as a key business partner to the Global Sales, Finance, and Product Marketing organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the Global Molecular Spectroscopy business unit sales commission plans
- Accurately calculate, report and analyze commissions on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Develop consolidated reports to ensure efficacy of commission process and ensure quick approval of commissions
- Ensure monthly commission submission deadlines are met every month
- Monitor commission payout process to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Serve as a point of contact for the sales organization to field questions and problem solve situations when necessary
- Assist the Sales Director in creating annual commission plans for the Global Sales Managers and Sales Representatives within the business unit
- Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure commission plans meet country specific regulations
- Ensure global commission plans are consistent and align to divisional and business unit internal equity requirements
- Assist with development of sales targets
- Support other sales operations functions which may include commercial reporting, forecasting, SFDC support, and providing support on sales operations processes to the global sales team and Product Marketing team.
- Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited higher learning institution (preferred area of study: Data Science, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Statistics )
- Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, graphing, complex formulas, and Visual Basic macros
- Proven experience working with large amounts of data
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of subject matter experts, managers, and executives
- Basic project management skills
- SAP or other ERP experience
- SFDC or other CRM experience
- Ability to effectively run a meeting
- Microsoft Power BI and SQL experience are a plus
