ABB's Robotics and Discrete Automation business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. This is a Sales specialist role, reporting to the Sales Manager in Business Area – Robotics & Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

  • Increasing profitable sales and wining market shares in the Auto OEM industry through establishing new accounts for the company while maintaining existing business and increasing penetration of these accounts in China.
  • Working under pressure to fulfill sales targets.
  • Acquiring of key customers in the respective market/industry.
  • Looking after and consulting customers in the respective market/industry.
  • Analyzing, establishing and expanding network with key-institutions (strategic end-customers, system integrators, line builder, association) in the respective market/industry.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • University degree majored in industrial automation/mechanical-electronic engineering.
  • Must have 5 years of working experience in sales or technical position of selling investing equipment for industrial automation in automobile industry.
  • Sound knowledge of auto manufacture process strongly desired.
  • Must have experience working in a foreign invested company.
  • Must be Proactive, aggressive and initiative.
  • Good interpersonal, presentation skill and computer skill in MS Windows/office and other applications.
  • Fluency in English, both writing and speaking.
