Sales Team Lead (m/f/x) - SaaS Venture
BCG Digital Ventures is getting ready to launch a new product and venture which is set to disrupt the EUR 2+bn construction industry. Built together with and backed by a leading mining company, this venture is using the latest technologies to create an international set-up system to manage pre-construction processes.
Together with our Corporate Partner, we are kicking the construction industry into the next gear by addressing its currently outdated processes which lack transparency. How can we make pre-construction processes more transparent and efficient for both General Contractors and Sub-Contractors? How do we make sure that time and resources are not wasted while more projects are won in the process?
Our ultimate goal is to create a 360° solution for the construction industry. To do so, we are currently building a Software As A Service product that focuses on bid management for General Contractors. In the mid-term, we will continue to build the SaaS and add machine learning to have intelligent and matching algorithms while enabling contractors to generate more projects. The project and venture is and will continue to benefit from our Corporate Partner’s strategic and financial assets which give us a significant advantage and launching point for the product and venture.
We are seeking a passionate Sales Lead (m/f/x) to join as part of the founding team to launch and scale this disruptive startup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and execute the company sales strategy focused on acquiring customers through online and offline channels
- Cultivate flexible and alternative business models to identify key opinion leaders and optimize the company’s offering in a variety of market segments
- Develop a KPI’s system to continually monitor the product success and adjust operational plans
- Develop communication mechanisms and work closely with the Product, Engineer and Customer Success Teams to bring up market or customer needs and provide feedback to enhance the company’s offering
- Actively maintain market intelligence in the construction industry and the competitive landscape, especially regarding tech-enabled products
- Build-up and nurture a strong network within the construction industry by proactively taking part in selected fairs and associations
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience working in leadership sales positions and scaling B2B businesses
- A proven track record of building and scaling sales teams from scratch in a high-growth environment
- Experience working for SaaS products with ideally a knowledge of the construction industry
- Results driven, you have a hands-on approach and an analytical mindset and strong attention to details without losing the big picture
- Ability to identify, nurture and manage key opinion leaders
- Experience with building up loyalty programs would be a plus
- You communicate fluently in English and German
