Lapita is a Polynesian themed hotel, located in the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts. A hotel which is dedicated to families and friends who want to stay close to all the activities that the theme parks will be offering. With 504 rooms, including 60 suites and 3 villas, Lapita is the perfect relaxation point after a day of adventures and fun. Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection this amazing hotel offers five food and beverage outlets, two outdoor pools and a lazy river, a spa and health club, Luna & Nova Kids & Teens Club as well as meeting and event facilities. The hotel's name was inspired by the pre-historic Pacific Ocean people and their journey and settlement into the Islands ( the Lapita movement ). The design draws its inspiration from the exotic Polynesian tropical landscapes, featuring Polynesian flowers, lagoon-style pools, and themed activities.

Responsible for providing administrative and research support to the Director of Sales as well as proactively researching sales leads to achieve an agreed number of appointments for the on property Sales Team and managing a portfolio of telesales accounts to an agreed target. Responsible for ecommerce administration for the hotels to include the full maintenance of HWS to audit standard, epic as required, reporting of results through ECM1 reports to support the Cluster eCommerce Manager for Dubai in administrative functions. Identifies new business leads in conference, group and transient markets and researches these for the on property team as required. Assists in, hotel marketing promotions direct mailings, the planning and undertaking of hospitality events, tradeshows, sales trips and familiarization events. Responsible for the handling phone inquiries for Sales and managing flow through of relevant inquiries to the Property sales team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Previous experience working in a sales and administrative role
Skills and Knowledge
An understanding of sales processes; can effectively make research calls to new and existing clients and secure appointments for the cluster sales team
Be fully aware of and adhere to Hotel policies on processing of entry visas
Be fully competent on the approach of program for visa application
Possesses excellent telephone skills
An understanding of contractual agreements and legal implications.
Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Strong organization skills
Ability to solve problems
Demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills
Excellent IT literacy including Microsoft Office, excel, PowerPoint, Internet

SPECIFIC DUTIES
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
E Commerce
Work and support maintenance of HWS to audit standard including EPIC for Lapita Hotel Dubai
Support and achieve green measurement on ecommerce evaluation tools and hotels S&M audit section for e commerce
Execute a monthly plan and tracking to ensure all e commerce duties are completed on a timely basis
Liaise with Marriott Leaders responsible eCommerce and eChannels to ensure compliance and delivery
To support the eCommerce Manager in liaising with eChannel Account Managers and build relationships to further enhance this area
Take part in conference calls/meetings to continually improve knowledge in this area
Responsible for maintaining hotel images on the picture store and coordinating hotel photo shoots if required.
Sales Co-ordination
Researches new clients through sales tools including Opera Sale & Catering, internet and market information,
Secures an agreed number of appointments for the Property Sales Team.
Will manage a maximum of 10-20 telesales accounts for the cluster, will be required to liaise with Market Sale as required.
Correctly inputs all research calls made into Opera S&C in accordance with the required audit standards
Updates the monthly tracking tools and other sales reports as required.
Manages the administration of cluster client corporate hospitality events including booking tickets, confirming clients, organizing transport and liaising with suppliers.
Maintains accurate and up to date account data and reporting using Marriott systems including all data compliance reports.
Assist with and conducts site inspections as required
Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 40 hours per week.
