Job Description
Eaton is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager - Power Systems at our Porto Feliz - plant to join our team. She/He will be responsible for: This position has as primary function manage, develop, plan and control Sales/Marketing programs and tactical activities in Brazil focus on Electrical Utilities domestic market as well as leverage export sales through sister organizations in LATAM and other regions outside Americas. This position holds the responsibilities of sales, new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI), local product approval in Utilities (AVL), technical application and quotations of Power System products in Brazil. Sales responsibilities are driven by delivering expected results by managing own sales force performance, external sales agents and Distributors when applicable, focus on high accuracy orders forecast and early pipeline management. Marketing responsibilities are driven by supporting the market with appropriate products and services offering / profitability aligned with Operations and finance goals focus on increase customer satisfaction and organic growth. Job Responsibilities: •Strategic Sales: •Creates proper customer relationship at all levels generating proper communication matrix and customer mapping with key stakeholders •Acts as senior management representative to key accounts, when appropriated. •Develops, approve with senior management and executes business and strategic plan focus on delivering company sales goals and profitability with development and execution of the region sales plans to achieve goals for sales volume, mix and growth. •Builds partnership with Eaton sister entities aiming to leverage sales export and with sourcing plant aiming to deliver •Ensures a cost effective solution achieving sales and operating margin results •Directs the front end quotation that support the target customers in concert with existing infrastructure and operation capabilities •Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin. •Manages accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted, generating a trustworthy FCST, pipeline and product management environment Segment & Industry Knowledge and capabilities •Strong knowledge about Utilities, Generation and Industrial market segments •Capability to develop and deploy segments/channel policies, according to market segments, product family and aligning to the main Eaton Electrical Sector strategy •Knowledge/ability to connect traditional Power Systems products with smart, remote and automation systems/controls at Utilities energy management level. •Ability to transit in all Utilities customers levels from C-level, supply chain and engineering. •Ability to interact with local customers with global centralized purchase organizations. •Strong capability to build a strong local and imported products offering with high value proposition which matches overall market needed. •Creates a vision of the future which leads the market with Eaton product and solution as •Builds local partnership with complementary service and product players to full fill Eaton portfolio gaps generating an appropriate offering according to segment needs. Team Management & Organizational report •Directs the assigned selling resources at designated customer segments within the Brazil region •Develop and deploy sales budget / quotas per region and per sales representative •Provide effective direction, supervision and coaching to assigned direct personnel to assure a sales force capable of meeting objectives. •Ensure proper measurements and tracking records are accurate and understood by the employees and connected to the BU financial goals •Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and demand creation •Conducts one-on-one review with all Sales Engineers / Managers to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales Engineer’s sales and activity performance. •Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance and also open feedback about performance with direct team. Qualifications • Bachelor Degree in Engineering •15 years of experience •Broad knowledge our products basket and services - all products from Electrical Brazil; •Strong business acumen and negotiations skills. •Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. •Portuguese, English and Spanish Preferred. •Strong experience in related sales management positions.
