What you will do

In this business critical role you will be accountable for leading the cross functional team and for the planning & execution of all commercial activities within the AMGEN Inflammation portfolio (originators) as well for the collaboration with the Biosimilars Lead for the biosimilars of the Inflammation portfolio. The position will be also leading the respective sales organization, including external key stakeholder engagement activities:

Marketing related responsibilities:

  • Lead the cross-functional Disease Team, incl. direct Inflammation Marketing resources

  • Propose and implement the strategic brand plan to drive commercial success of the inflammation Brand in Switzerland, incl. analysis and integration of market data/intelligence

  • Responsible for planning and implementation of all promotional & marketing activities for the omnichannel marketing mix in accordance with Swiss regulations and Amgen SOPs

  • Be an active member of the international inflammation marketing and cross functional team. Maintain and manage relationships with other Amgen colleagues.

  • Perform planning and controlling of cost and sales budgets in close collaboration with the BUH CV, Bone & Inflammation

  • Support the Business Unit Head during preparation for Management presentations, Business Reviews, Sales analysis, Incentive plan design or modifications, etc.

Sales related responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales organization, incl. coaching and development

  • Ensure achievement of sales objectives, account planning objectives and customer interaction objectives (omnichannel)

  • Set up and maintain a fruitful partnership with Swiss Key Opinion Leaders regarding all relevant aspects for the market success of the Inflammation Business Unit

  • Collaborate with other Amgen Business Units, mainly the Biosimilar Business Unit, in order to identify opportunities for collaboration, optimization and synergies within the AMGEN Inflammation portfolio

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The flexible yet precisely working professional we seek is a strong sales and marketing expert with these qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • University Degree or strong experience/seniority in the industry

  • 3 years of experience as Sales Rep and > 1 year as Sales Manger

  • 3 years experience as Marketing Manager / Brand Lead

  • Demonstrated track record of product performance within competitive area

  • History of strong team player with the ability to work cross-functionally, especially with the Sales and Medical teams

  • History of working in innovative and/or multinational companies

  • Ability to think strategically, as well as to act operationally

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  • Extensive knowledge of the Swiss pharmaceutical Market

  • Fluency in German and English. French is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the majority of decision makers in therapeutic area

  • Experience in Inflammation including Dermatology and Rheumatology is highly preferred 

  • Marketing research, Project Management, Market Access Sales experiences in the pharmaceutical industry are a plus

  • Experience in agile ways of working and/or as Scrum Master
