Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms. We are currently seeking an IT SalesForce Architect to join our Applications, Product and Platform Center of Excellence (APPCOE) team. No relocation is being offered for this position. The candidate will be based at any Eaton facility in the US. If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate will work from a remote Eaton facility or an approved home office. The IT SalesForce Architect will build, design, deliver, maintain, and update technology, platform, and system solutions to implement the Salesforce roadmap and vision using Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Communities. This role will establish the integration framework between Salesforce and Eaton enterprise systems. This role will use the enterprise architecture design and best practices of Salesforce multi-tenant cloud architecture to implement these solutions. The IT SalesForce Architect will lead as a "technology expert" working closely with the program teams, other IT teams, as well as with the development team to drive scalable, reliable and modular solutions. In this role: You will provide input as a subject matter expert and leader to platform and system design, development, and implementation by partnering with Program Management, Functional Analysts, QA, Project Management teams to drive the success of program roadmap. You will work with program and project managers and functional analysts to maintain architectural integrity of the application by guiding individual solution designs You will lead the overall effort and work with resources across functions to deliver technology, platform, and system solutions to meet customer requirements, providing solution options, making recommendation, and highlighting operational or security risks, as well as providing alternative options. You will create platform’s long-term vision, program roadmap, high-level and detailed architecture You will define tuning and configuration parameters/settings for technologies, platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements. You will develop custom applications and interfaces while providing hands-on technical assistance. You will troubleshoot essential implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to a successful resolution. You will document technical specification, design, and architecture papers. You will lead lifecycle management activities for technology, platform, systems, and related documentation to ensure operational health and security. You will partner with Salesforce customer success and Square to maintain ongoing technical relationship papers. You will understand how to deal with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) & other forms of controlled data with Salesforce in online and offline scenarios (i.e. ITAR, DFAR, EAR, GDPR, EUMIL, UKMIL, etc.). Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 7 years of enterprise experience, including implementation experience with one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM, ERP) Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Architect in a mid to large sized organization leading projects Minimum 4 years’ experience as a hands-on developer and architect within the Salesforce domain with experience delivering complex projects Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Position Criteria: Deep knowledge on implementing end-to-end Salesforce solutions using Configuration and Customization - APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components etc. Deep knowledge on automating business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules and email Alerts. Deep knowledge on integrations using Salesforce using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On. Deep knowledge of migrating changes from development to test to production environment(s) using CI technologies like Salesforce DX, Jenkins and ANT Exposure to several layers of technology solutions: hardware, application administration, application development, support, etc. Experience implementing solutions by mapping customer's business processes to Salesforce.com features like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Communities Hands-on experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning, Triggers, Batch, Visualforce, SOQL, SFDX, OOP Concept, DevOps Stack (Jenkins, Ansible for CI / CD), and Ant Migration tool Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other systems using middleware such as MuleSoft, SOAP, REST, Web Services, XML, Direct API Calls, and SOA/Integration technologies Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) An understanding of important design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in a technical discipline such as: B.S. Comp Science / Mathematics / Engineering Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $92,300 - $163,600 a year, with flexibility based on experience and skill level.
