YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Sample Inventory Coordinator, are to: 

 

  • Has primary or shared responsibility for the specialized Sample Inventory Facility;
  • Coordinate and manage the Regulatory sample inventory function;
  • Execute multiple, complex lab processes in a high throughput lab setting under tight timelines within an ISO 9001:2018 certified quality program;
  • Conducts complex activities that require the application of specialized scientific lab techniques;
  • Takes initiative in keeping current with developments in inventory management;
  • Accountable for accuracy and integrity of company-critical lab processes that significantly impact quality Regulatory research for submission to global agencies;
  • Has primary lab project or function responsibility; Assumes supervisory responsibility for 3rd party contractors to ensure project completion at a high-quality level;
  • Interacts with others within specialized sample handling, inventory and management areas;
  • Responsible for lab equipment, including maintenance and lab areas;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of specialized laboratory and scientific techniques;
  • Troubleshooting moderate to extensive problem solving including other team members; Taking initiative to optimize and improve the process workflows for greater efficiencies and better-quality output;
  • Coordinate and supervise the sample material receipt, ensuring accuracy and inventory integrity;
  • Coordinate and communicate personnel resource needs to management to ensure adequate support;
  • Ensures compliance with BCS safety, Bio Safety and stewardship standards and traceability through appropriate quality management and information systems.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • BS with minimum of 2+ years relevant experience or MS with minimum 1-year relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated record of executing various lab processes in a high throughput setting under tight timelines; with the proper recording of data independently;
  • Skilled in organizing and reporting specialized reports;
  • Routine problem solving requiring original thinking and deductive reasoning of diverse procedures within the specialized laboratory technology;
  • Can prepare reports of an analytical and interpretive nature;
  • Coordinating abilities so that numerous activities converge successfully;
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for USDA, EPA, CFIA regulated biotech and chemistry products and working knowledge of GLP Quality Management Systems and/or ISO quality systems;
  • Ability to solve technical and scientific problems and to initiate improvements in working practice;
  • Project management skills to successfully deal with workload and planning issues;
  • Demonstration of high levels of value and integrity;
  • Executes responsibilities with knowledge, accuracy, persistence, resilience and creativity seeking to work both independently and collaboratively.
