In this exciting environment an opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated
Schedule and Progress Controller to join our project team.
Position Overview
Siemens Mobility is seeking a project analyst to join our team as Scheduler and Progress
Controller in Miami, Florida. Successful candidates will have ideally spent at least 3 years in
comparable progressively responsible positions in project controls of road, rail or comparable
infrastructure projects exceeding 1 Million USD in value. Ideal candidates will have knowledge
of Florida infrastructure projects, project controls (time, cost and risk management) methods for
construction, commissioning & validation. Successful candidates will be responsible for the
excellent implementation, monitoring and update of project schedules, resource plans and
progress controlling. Customer focus, solid team skills, technical, organizational, and
communication skills are important to be successful in this position.
Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree in civil, traffic, software or electrical engineering with related work
experience
? Experience in project controls for US infrastructure and governmental (RFP) projects
highly preferred
? 3 years’ experience in road infrastructure projects
? Understanding of infrastructure systems and project controls
? Project Management Professional certification or equivalent (PMP-S, CCM, PSP, PMISP,
PMI-RMP certification(s)) are beneficial
? Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software and web-based
program management systems (specifically Oracle/Primavera Project Management - P6,
Oracle Primavera Cloud, and Microsoft Project, ArcGIS, PowerBI), Experience with
Oracle Aconex is beneficial.
? Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage
several assignments
? Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
? Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Detailed Responsibilities
? Assists in the definition and manages change in the project's Work Breakdown
Structure as the basis of all project control system/tools and centralized code
structure.
? Reviews the contract, extracts the dates of partial completion, milestones and any
other contractually binding date and develops a schedule based on this data.
? Cooperates with the project team to generate feasible and realistic timeframes of
every activity mentioned in the schedule.
? Participates in meetings with the team, the management, client, partners, and
subcontractors/subconsultants/suppliers to establish and maintain a mutually agreed
project time-schedule.
? Prepares, monitors, and updates the project master schedule as well as partial /
subsystem / works schedules.
? Manages resources, cost, revenue and cash through the scheduling software.
? Coordinates with project team members to keep updated the schedule. If a change is
approved, must depict it on the time-schedule and inform the management of its
impact.
? Compares project performance report to approved time schedule data (work
completed vs. worked planed) and informs the management about critical events and
significant deviations.
? Provides frequent updates and direction to the team and partners.
? Monitors, collects, and consolidates daily, weekly, and monthly activities and works
progress reports and provides weekly and monthly reporting
? Prepares and updates plans and procedures related to the area of responsibility.
? Cooperates with the Order Manager, Procurement Manager, and any other relevant
team member about the status of the deliveries.
? Complies with all company and project rules, regulation, and guidance. Contributes to
project business excellence by providing and updating scheduling and process control
management plans and procedures.
? Establishes and maintains an online progress measurement and reporting system.
? Incorporates, monitors, and reports on internal and external milestones.
? Cooperates with the Commercial Project manager and reports commercially and
contractually relevant information to respective internal parties including but not limited
to financial and technical performance forecasting and scenario evaluation though an
integrated and automated system.
? Coordinates with the Project Manager, Contract Manager, and the legal department to
initiate a change in case the client or third parties fail to meet a milestone.
? Maintains and support project tooling for data collection, information management and
reporting.
? Ensures good practice sharing and feedback of experience e.g. through continuous
improvement workshops and project assessments.
