Job Description:
Setting up the International teaching team and to maintain team stability. Lead the SLT in formulating a fair, just and open appraisal process. Where needed, organize the necessary teams to conduct academic research; Oversee the planning and delivery of the daily teaching of IGCSE and A- LEVEL. Support the school's marketing, admission and communication related work; continuously enhance the school's brand influence through marketing promotions. Communicate and co-ordinate with all functional departments to the ensure smooth operation of the school. Complete all tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Set direction and ensure balance of academic and co-curricular streams to enable holistic development of the child.
2. Design Curriculum in line to the school’s purpose and real world challenges
3. Develop curriculum content, training materials, training modules, participant materials, and plan implementation strategies, among others, for students and teachers.
4. Establish effective teaching – learning practices and student assessment
Leadership :
1. Inspire teachers and coordinators to perform at their best.
2. Lead a team of coordinators and teachers to achieve high standards of learning
3. Collaborate with the Principal and Trustees to realize the schools purpose.
4. Develop internal working groups – academic, examination, etc.
5. Strengthen communication across all stakeholders – parents, teachers and students.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
a) 10 to 15 years in K-12 schools
b) Master’s degree in any discipline with a B.Ed./M.Ed./MA Education
c) Hold a recognized Leadership qualification: NPQH or Other
d) Passionate about teaching children and learning.
e) Inspiring leadership qualities, and great communicator
f) Experience with designing and implementing curriculum strategies.
g) Research oriented mindset and deep knowledge of contemporary pedagogical
approaches
