Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics and Mathematics Teacher to join our international school community. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of both subjects, foster critical thinking, and promote a love for scientific and mathematical inquiry. This role involves teaching across middle and high school levels, following an international curriculum .

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Physics and Mathematics for secondary school students (Grades 6–12).
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) students.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, technologies, and hands-on experiments (especially for Physics) to enhance student engagement.
Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Prepare students for external examinations and support their academic growth.
Curriculum Development

Contribute to the development and review of the Physics and Mathematics curricula in alignment with international standards.
Integrate interdisciplinary connections, real-world applications, and STEM projects where appropriate.
Classroom and Laboratory Management

Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment (for Physics) and uphold safety protocols at all times.
Student Support and Pastoral Care

Serve as a homeroom teacher or advisor, supporting students’ social-emotional well-being and academic progress.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities.
Professional Collaboration

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science and Mathematics departments and across disciplines.
Participate in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and school initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification/license in Physics and/or Mathematics.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international school setting.
Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching.
Desirable

Experience teaching IGCSE, IB, AP, or similar international curricula.
Background in STEM education, inquiry-based learning, or project-based learning.
Experience in organizing science fairs, math competitions, or related extracurricular activities.
