Scientific Affairs Manager (M/F/D)

This role is critical to establish Royal Canin as a scientific thought leader in pet nutrition and health through nutrition.
The position supports Royal Canin´s scientific reputation in DACH and is responsible to evolve our Scientific Communication organisational set-up to leverage efficiencies and implement Cluster approach, while focusing more on the growing importance of KOL management within the business. 

 

Key outputs
•    Develop and deploy Royal Canin KOL strategy for DACH
•    Drive enhancement of internal and external reputation by identifying, interpreting, and influencing the scientific environment, manage and develop the network of Key Opinion Leaders and formers who have the influence to positively impact our brand reputation (e.g. Key Accounts, veterinary diplomats, nutritional experts, industry leaders, influencers etc.)
•    Serve as scientific spokesperson with B2B and B2C media if necessary
•    Do horizon scanning and monitoring of the competitor's landscape and share these insights internally
•    Manage to the strategic design, prepare for global reviews (ethical review and scientific advisory board), implementation and publication of clinical trials (locally driven), so that scientific impact is maximized.

 

Qualifications
•    University degree in Vet Medicine
•    5+ years industry (pet food, scicom)
•    Experienced
•    Turn-key know-how acquired in a scientific business context
•    Product knowledge
•    Nutritional and veterinary knowledge
•    Comprehensive understanding of the Royal Canin brand and values as well as the pet food market 
•    Fluent in German and English
