AstraZeneca is investing in Oncology cell therapy
AstraZeneca is a leader in Oncology with a global footprint and ability to deliver best in class medicines to the market. One area of significant investment within AstraZeneca is to become a leader in next generation cellular therapy products within Oncology. Through existing expertise in biopharmaceuticals, precise genome engineering and immunology across solid and haematologic malignancies, AstraZeneca is uniquely positioned to develop the best technologies for cellular therapies and is already growing a differentiated pipeline.
We are seeking talented Scientists to join the Cell Biology and Immunology team with experience in at least one of the following areas: tumour immunology, immune cell biology, precise genome modification or cell therapy. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fast-growing team within a vibrant environment focused on advancing oncology cell therapy through the generation and analysis of in-vitro cellular systems.
What you'll do
We are looking for talented scientists to join the team, these roles will be looking at enhancing the biology and activity of CAR-T cells using techniques such as CRISPR/genome editing, advanced cell models and immune assays.
We also have another fantastic role that will be focussed on advanced immune cell engineering technologies, using CRISPR, next generation sequencing technologies and omics analysis.
As part of an innovative team you will also be encouraged to contribute to the improvement of current cell engineering techniques - for use in cell therapies and as potential therapeutics. This role will interact across our global organisation and with high profile external collaborators. You will also have the opportunity to maintain scientific excellence, presenting data to key stakeholders internally and at external conferences, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Working within AstraZeneca’s Discovery Sciences unit, you will be joining a community of scientists with broad technological expertise dedicated to drug discovery.
We are looking for scientists with relevant knowledge in cancer cell therapy and a passion for science.
