Scientist- Clinical Immunology

Amgen is hiring a Scientist to join the Clinical Immunology group. The successful candidate will represent Clinical Immunology on cross-functional product teams from preclinical through clinical development and provide scientific oversight on the immunogenicity component of development for a diverse portfolio of Amgen product candidates, with a strong focus on Immuno-oncology therapeutic development.

  • Apply immunology expertise throughout the drug development process
  • Author key regulatory, clinical study, and technical documents
  • Establish and maintain collaborations cross-functionally within Amgen’s matrixed environment and externally through publications and presentations.
  • Interpret immune response data and assess potential clinical impact.
  • Knowledge of in silico, in vitro and in vivo predictive approaches to de-risk our therapeutics

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Immunology or related subject area

Master’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications

PhD and 2+ years of experience in immunology research or related team

In-depth understanding of the highly developed and adaptive immune system with a focus on humoral immunity

Detailed knowledge of various bioanalytical assays used to measure the immune response

Experience in the clinical development of biologic drugs or vaccines

Knowledge of immunogenicity risk assessment related to quality attributes and immune response

Familiar with global regulatory guidelines related to immunogenicity assessment

Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
