How will you make an impact?

The Scientist I, Production, performs manufacturing operations in an ISO13485 manufacturing environment. The candidate will follow SOPs and work in compliance with safety, regulatory and quality guidelines. Manufacturing includes performing chemical reactions in equipment ranging from 500mL glassware to 30-gallon pilot plant scale equipment.

What will you do?

• Perform manufacturing operations in the pilot plant equipment 50-200L
• Provide support for process scale up projects, help develop new processes with a focus on safety, ergonomics, product quality, process efficiency and cycle time
• Address and report problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures.

How will you get here?

Education

High School Diploma or GED and 5-7 years of manufacturing experience or B.S. (preferably in the sciences) with 1-3 years of experience

Experience

• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally to lift material as well as push full 55-gallon drums on wheeled dollies
• Ability to stand for 80% of the shift

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Knowledge of Agile or similar programs for updating documentation
• Knowledge of SAP or similar inventory control systems
• Knowledge of Trackwise or similar programs for problem report and investigating
