Quality & Food Safety Scientist

To be the primary R&D partner (‘the face of R&D’) for big and complex Value Stream, driving the quality agenda and leading implementation and governance of all Q&FS requirements, including first line incident escalation.

 

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience in Food industry or Quality 
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Food Technology / other relevant technical discipline
• Experience of quality and food safety in a food manufacturing facility, where scientific principles have been practically applied
• Technical depth and knowledge of Quality Management
• Knowledge of HACCP
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Primary R&D partner for Value Stream driving the quality agenda and leading implementation and governance of all Q&FS requirements, including operational support: problem solving, incident management, Q&FS project management, HACCP leading, continuous improvement
• Q&FS lead role in Growth and Value Leadership projects dedicated to the Value Stream ( provides inputs for stage gates, Risk Assessments and coordinates with relevant Q&FS experts to ensure that all risks are properly and timely managed)
• M&M's growth projects from JAN site agenda and represent Q&FS in all ATG's
• Facilitate QMP in the Value Stream (CAPAs, internal audits, continuous improvement, document creation & control)
• Support the implementation of global Mars Standards into the value stream & enable full compliance
• Internal auditor of Q&FS management system on site
• Manage the food safety programme within the value stream including maintaining compliance with any required external standards (e.g. FSSC 22000, GFSI)
• Govern the GMP/GHP and CCP/OPRP programmes within the value stream
• First line Q&FS incident management and incident coordinator including handling escalations to experts
• Supports root cause analysis and CAPA of near misses and other incidents.
• Accountable for managing effective corrective/preventive plan incl. verification of effective implementation of actions
• Track, report & communicate on incidents and near misses closure of the value stream
• Accountable for investigation of consumer & customer complaints within value stream
• Inputs line trials risk assessment&endorse line trial / raw material exception test forms prior to approval by Q&FS Manager
• Reduce incidents related to change management through building capability with operations and reliability on risk assessment
