Eaton’s Electrical Crouse-Hinds division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Screw Machine - Machine Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility. In this function you will: Perform various threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling and similar machining operations on all departmental conventional machines. Make adjustments, change, reset tooling to maintain specified dimensions as required. Load bar stock to insure the continuous operation of equipment. Check work with various measuring instruments and gages (verniers, micrometers, scale, etc.). Maintain close tolerances and work to drawings and layouts. Detect faulty operation or materials and report to supervision. Maintain equipment, machines, work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; sweep and mop as needed. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Ability to use shop arithmetic. Ability to read ordinary drawings or job layouts. Ability to use micrometers, protractor, depth and fixed gauges. Knowledge of tools, machining methods and cutting quality of various metals. Experience working in a manufacturing environment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
