The Customer Scale organization within IT Corporate Functions is responsible for developing user experiences on Intel.com tailored to the audience. You will help capture the hearts and minds of our customers and grow Intel's revenue.

We are seeking a strong Scrum Master to work with the team in order to deliver the best software solutions to our innovative and industry-leading products. The Scrum Master is responsible for making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coach the Delivery Team, and does anything possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and doing things like working with the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint
  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum theory and practices are understood and enacted (even help those outside the Delivery Team understand so the value can be maximized)
  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and enforces time boxes
  • Embrace and role model Agile Principles
  • Teach, mentor, guide, and coach the Delivery Team (and organization) on Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Lean principles and practices
  • Coach the Delivery Team in self-organization and cross-functionality
  • Help remove organizational and team impediments to agility and progress
  • Assist Delivery Team and Product Owner with relentless and continuous improvement in processes and product delivery
  • Embrace and role model servant leadership
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on growth and problem solving
  • Empowers the Delivery Team and facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating (making visible) information
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum and/or agility in the organization
  • Support and educate the Product Owner and Delivery Team, especially with respect to refining (grooming) and managing the backlog
  • Serve and enable the Product Owner and Delivery Team in their quest to delight customers
  • Help the Delivery Team learn and mature so they can reduce their dependence on the Scrum Master
  • Knowledge of numerous patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum Framework


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or any other related field
  • 5+ years of IT industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies, and using Rally/JIRA Align agile tools
  • 3+ years of professional scrum master experience in managing software development, working through software product design, development, testing, and release cycle


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • 8+ years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry
  • 5+ years of Scrum master, product owner, or equivalent agile/scrum leadership experience
  • Excellent Jira and Jira Align knowledge
  • Experience in Agile/SAFe methodologies including tools used for work planning and tracking such as; Rally, Jira, etc.
  • Domain knowledge in product data management/product life cycle management

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
