Job Overview
The Scrum Master in the Cloud and Emerging Technologies Team is responsible for managing the backlog for the team and coaching the team on best practices and principals of Agile and Scrum as well as communicating program status and strategy. A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent customer service, communication and change management skills; as well as a logical and practical approach to finding solutions that drive end-user efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
- Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
- Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinements, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Responsible for Demand Management of new service and feature requests ensuring transparency and customer focused communication
- Responsible for creation and management of customer communications platforms
- Responsible for creation and management of internal team communications and collaboration platforms
- Create customer directed content for communication of feature releases, service updates, update newsletters, feature roadmaps and cloud strategy.
- Act as champion for user experience (UX) in communicating service, project and program status
- Create and assist team members in development of presentations for management and customer consumption
- Manages onboarding and off boarding of resources.
