The Opportunity:

In this permanent opportunity as Scrum Team lead, you would be responsible for ensuring team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate to meet their delivery goals.

You will report to the Technology Portfolio Manager. As a Scrum Team Leader, you will support the team on people related matters and help team self-organise, self-manage, and deliver via effective agile practices.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Encourage and ensure agile ceremonies are understood and take place, facilitating where necessary
  • Understand and effectively communicates teams' release health (size of backlog, backlog priorities, and velocity of the team, plan to consume points, dependencies, and visibility to team and governance forums).
  • Actively improve flow of work by identifying, escalating, and helping to remove impediments/ blockers/waste for the team when required
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Encourage and help the team to implement continuous improvement ideas identified via various conversations including sprint retrospectives
  • Build relationships and collaboration with team members and help foster trust and honesty within the team
  • Assist Product Owner with effective product backlog management and prioritisation which maximises customer/business value
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assess the scrum maturity of team(s) and coaching them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Engage with other Scrum Team Leads to share knowledge, methods and techniques
  • Champion self-organisation and cross-functionality within the team.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Experience in Technology delivery
  • Experience in people management
  • Relevant Project practitioner experience in an IT environment
  • Experience with Agile Scrum for a software development team.
