Position Description:
This is a worldwide position, part of the Global eCommerce Product Team. We
are currently seeking a Project Manager experienced with fast paced eCommerce
projects, shaping existing roadmaps and driving project execution for
lenovo.com. The candidate will be also be responsible for staying current on
search trends and providing guidance and support to the worldwide organization
on new site search trends and best practices. This project manager will manage
the identification, conception, definition, testing and implementation of
search projects with the goal of improving the customer experience, online
engagement and purchase conversion. This role requires 5+ years of
demonstrated combined project and program management experience in eCommerce.
Job responsibilities
• Own search projects and manage project lifecycle, deliverables and cross-
functional BMS from concept through delivery:
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, research best practices,
and perform competitive analysis to define the project scope and priorities
• Assign roles & responsibilities and create a timeline and schedule for all
activities tied to the project
• Prioritize requirements to define information architecture and user flow
• Project design/implementation:
• Partner with designers to review and provide directions on wireframes
• Work closely with designers to review and iterate on designs
• Work with UX researchers to develop usability tests
• Collaborate with stakeholders to get feedback and approval
• Manage the IT requirements development and approval process to get projects
in the development queue
• Work with extended teams to perform quality assurance testing and push
projects live
• Drive multiple simultaneous projects to successful completion on time and on
budget
• Identify web opportunities, prioritize, project manage and deliver
capabilities for lenovo.com with the goal of improving customer engagement and
purchase conversion
• Improve the existing lenovo.com search experience to address customer
feedback
• Collaborate with the other eCommerce product owners to identify
opportunities for improvement in the search experience and drive
prioritization of these requirements through the search BMS
• Coordinate and collaborate with the UX lead to deliver an ever-improving
search experience that pushes function and visual design to create an
innovative and leading-edge user experience (e.g. personalization, geo
location, improved page performance, mobile first optimizations, etc.)
• Work with the global search team to identify and execute on opportunities
that enhance the shopping experience
• Work with merchandisers to enhance search experience and optimize sales
conversion in the eCommerce geographies and share best practices
• Assist in the creation of a prioritized roadmap of search web projects based
on business value and contribution to customer satisfaction metrics
• Use analytics dashboards to report out the results of the search project
once launched
• Collaborate with the eCommerce performance team on optimizing the load times
on the search experience
• Participate in search customer comments and issues readouts to drive
corrective actions to resolution
• Optimization: collaborate with the global optimization team to determine
priorities, track roadmap and implement A/B testing as appropriate
• Ongoing communication/BMS: participate in regular interlocks with cross-
functional geography, business unit team members and executives to communicate
progress on search priorities and share best practices with extended team and
stakeholders
#### Position Requirements:
• Demonstrable web experience and expertise, including a portfolio of projects
managed
• eCommerce project and program management experience
• At least 5 years of previous Product Management in an eCommerce environment.
Prefer experience working on large eCommerce websites
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment where innovation
is expected
• Experience with A|B testing and design thinking
• Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple
simultaneous projects with different deadlines and priorities
• Experience with the agile methodology and with key agile tools like JIRA &
Confluence
• Experience with taking a project from conceptualization through delivery,
including robust quality assurance testing, bug submission and deployment
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented,
collaborative environment is essential
• Strong self-initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement
with little direction
• Fine attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate end-results
• Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills
• Experience with JIRA or similar production tools for issue tracking and bug
resolution
• Excellent communication skills are crucial since this position will work
with multiple cross-functional teams in multiple time zones
• Comfortable with communicating/advocating for projects with executives
• Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and
energetic team environment
• Ability to drive adherence to deadlines with many different teams and
geographies
• Bachelor’s degree
