Job Title: Secondary Design & Technology Teacher
Reports to: Head of Department / Principal

This Chaoyang bilingual K-12 school offers IB, A-Level, and AP pathways alongside China's national curriculum. It features premium sports facilities, an 800-seat theater, and emphasizes holistic development through academics, arts, and athletics.

Purpose
To deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to secondary students, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical making skills.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and teach D&T lessons across Key Stages 3–5 (or equivalent)

Guide students through the design process: research, ideation, prototyping, and evaluation

Teach safe and correct use of workshop tools, equipment, and machinery

Deliver theoretical content including materials, mechanisms, electronics, and structures

Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies

Maintain workshop safety standards and equipment

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

Participate in parent meetings, staff development, and school events

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Engineering, or a related field

Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) preferred

Strong workshop skills and commitment to health and safety
