Role Overview
The Secondary ELA Teacher will deliver an engaging, literature-rich, and standards-aligned English Language Arts curriculum to middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will inspire critical thinking, strong writing skills, and a love for reading in a multicultural classroom setting. This role requires collaboration with international and Chinese faculty to support student success.
✅ Qualifications (Non-negotiable)
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, U.S. state teaching license, or equivalent) – required
Minimum Master’s degree
English native speaker
Relevant teaching experience (minimum 3 years preferred; experience in an international or K12 school setting a strong plus)

Ability to design curriculum and assessments aligned with learning outcomes

Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment
Collaborate with grade-level and subject teams on curriculum development
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events
