Position: Secondary English Literature Teacher

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Secondary English Literature Teacher to join our dynamic international teaching team in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in English language and literature, along with experience teaching international curricula such as IGCSE, A-Level, or IB Diploma Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Literature and Language to secondary school students (Grades 9–12).

Develop engaging and rigorous lessons that foster students’ analytical, interpretive, and writing skills.

Prepare students for internal and external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, or IB).

Provide academic guidance, individualized feedback, and support to help students achieve their goals.

Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum and participate in departmental planning.

Contribute to school events, clubs, or other extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English Literature at the secondary level.

Experience with international curricula (IGCSE/A-Level/IB) preferred.

Native-level English proficiency.
