Requirements:
✓ Native English speaker
✓ Master’s degree. Either Bachelor or Master is in English literature
✓ QTS/PGCE or similar teaching qualification
✓ 5 years full time teaching experience in IB DP/ MYP or IGCSE English
✓ Adaptable, excellent communicator

The role of the English Teacher:
• This is a full-time position for a teacher to teach English Language & Literature and English B.
• The teacher will be teaching both Language & Literature and Language Acquisition classes in
both the IB Diploma Programme and the Middle Years Programme.
• The teacher will also serve as Extended Essay supervisor, Personal Project supervisor, and CAS project supervisor as needed.
• The teacher will work collaboratively with the other members of the English Language
Department to plan and implement the Language Policy of the school.
• The teacher will complete the necessary and ongoing professional development requirements
needed to teach their subject at both the DP and MYP level.
