Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our school in Chengdu. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker from an English-speaking country with a British accent and a strong background in teaching English to secondary school students. Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE, A-Level, or IB is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Language and/or English Literature to secondary school students in accordance with curriculum requirements.

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.

Prepare students for internal and external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, IB, etc.).

Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.

Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental initiatives.

Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development sessions.

Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Native English speaker from an English-speaking country (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, etc.) with a British accent.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, etc.).

Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience; experience with international curricula preferred.

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
