An established Secondary boarding school in southern China is starting a small High School Program for Years 9-12 in August 2020. They are looking for an IBDP Coordinator to join them from August 2020. Candidates with several years of relevant experience and previous IBDP experience are sought. Must have BA plus teaching qualification or BEd in subject being taught and relevant experience.

The school was established in 1962 but closed down, before reopening again in 2009. There is a large team of foreign teachers. The school offers several second language subjects, including German and French. The school has a large capacity of about 1,800 students. Small classes of only 25 students ensure a sound learning environment. There is a full range of extracurricular activities available as well.

The school is located in Southern China in Guangzhou, the largest city in the Guangdong province. In recent years, the city has developed a more cosmopolitan appearance with new shopping plazas, high rise buildings, a modern metro system and landscaped parks and road sides. It's a busy, lively city but parts of the cities have charm with restored churches, buildings and private residences. Having a major airport and being so close to Hong Kong opens up a world of travel opportunities from short weekend trips to longer treks around Asia in the holidays.
