Job Description
Position :Secondary Psychology & Social Studies Teacher- would be better if you also have social studies teaching experience
Start date :February, 2025
Working hours 8 am—4:30 pm
Weekly schedule Monday to Friday
Student’s age 13-18 years old
Class size 10-25 students/class
Weekly workload: Around 20 classes/week
Contract length :2 years
Probation time :2 months
Welfare and Benefits:
Salary range:25K—40K/month (housing allowance included, based on teaching experience)
Flight: 10K/Academic year
Relocation allowance (based on the family situation)
Insurance Free medical insurance (NOT cover dependents)
Holidays:
Public Chinese holidays;
Midterm breaks in November and April (which may or may not coincide with Easter);
Christmas and New Year holiday;
Full payment summer and winter vacation.
Others
5 nights hotel reimbursement when relocation to Chongqing (up to 1500RMB);
Apartment hunting support;
working visa support and reimbursement occurred in China (includes dependents’);
Overseas visa cost reimbursed applicants only, excludes dependents’;
Children tuition policy;
Overseas candidates shall receive free ticket for the first flight coming to China, including dependents'-- economy, standard baggage allowance
Desired Candidates
Nationality:Speak English at an idiomatic level
Education :Bachelor or above
Major :Relevant to the subject you teach or education
Teaching experience:At least 2 years of Psychology & Social studies experience on IGCSE or A-Level curriculum
Certification :PGCE or PGCEI is highly desirable
Others
•Passionate and knowledgeable teachers of their subject;
•Central to the pastoral provision in the school and aware of the pastoral welfare of all students with whom they come into contact;
•Committed to the co-curricular programme by sharing with the students’ area(s) in which they have a particular interest and through providing academic extension and enrichment activities.
•Support prep, recruiting or marketing events;
