Job Description
1.Teaching EAL to classes of students in grades 6 to 12
2.Attending regular subject meetings of English staff at which curriculum planning, student progress, and teaching and learning needs are discussed and good practice can be shared;
3.Engaging in peer observations of teaching as agreed, sharing best-practice and being open to new ideas;
4.Taking part in the school’s rota of duties such as corridor supervision, supervision of weekly tests etc.;
5.Evaluating and marking students’ work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students’ progress and development;
6.Participating in regular departmental meetings, INSET, school training events, observation and professional review in order to maximize the quality of teaching;
7.Writing regular, informative and individual reports on students;
8.Attending annual parents’ evenings and any other required parental meeting;
9.Promoting the general well-being of students and communicating with Heads of Grade and/or the appropriate tutor;
10.Participating in and organizing extracurricular activities as appropriate and as required by the Senior Management;

Requirements

1.Native English speaker;
2.Bachelor's degree or above;
3.Clear criminal background check;
4.Minimum two year’s teaching experience and the capability of teaching EAL to all age groups 11-18;
5.A formal teaching qualification;
6.Experience of teaching IELTS or IGCSE will be beneficial;

Salary and Benefits

1.Base salary 22,000 to 27,000 RMB (before tax) per month based on experience and qualifications;
2.Housing allowance:
For Single- 8,000 RMB per month;
For candidate with dependents- 10,000 RMB per month;

6.Flight reimbursement available:
For Single- 10,000 RMB per year;
For Couple- 15,000 RMB per year;
