Bachelor’s degree BA/BS in content area or relevant post-graduate work required
English literature background preferred
Master’s or PhD level degree preferred
Excellent knowledge of child development and the latest education theories and practices
Creative and artistic teaching abilities
Patience, flexibility, and great people skills
Good team-player attitude and solid communication skills
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of student learning
Experience with, or interest in, interdisciplinary and project-based teaching and learning
Can participate in professional learning communities and other collaborative communities to design and plan instruction, to improve practice, and to achieve student outcomes
