The Visual Art department believes in developing strong perceptual skills through Visual Art by engaging our students in drawing and painting from direct observation. This will lead to enhanced visual literacy and perceptual awareness in our students, which in turn facilitates their connection with the world around them and make them better learners in all disciplines. This is done through a compulsory art education at the lower secondary years before they proceed to pursue IGCSE Art and Design and IBDP Visual Art. At the School, we have a growing candidature at IGCSE and IBDP.
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic visual art teacher to join our successful and collaborative department.

We need teachers with the following qualifications:
- a university degree in art and a recognized teacher certification, i.e. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent
- a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching art at secondary level or above.
- a passion to teach drawing, painting and design to a class of diverse talent and abilities
- a heart and desire to mould the next generation of artists and patrons of the art
If you also have some of the following qualities and experience, we would be happy to further develop you in these areas:
- skills in digital media and/or photography
- an existing practitioner in drawing and painting with an ongoing portfolio
- experience teaching Art at IGCSE or IB
- experience in resource development, curriculum development at school level
