Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is seeking experienced Food & Beverage Wait Staff to join the team at No35 Restaurant. You are a passionate and vibrant hospitality professional, who is eager to greet guests from across the world, whilst also remembering a regular face or two. Your vibrant, accommodating personality combined with your creativity and flair will engage guests and ensure they enjoy an experience that will exceed their expectations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Explain the menu and beverage list to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages
• Use Micros to place orders 
• Liaise with the outlet Kitchen teams on special requests
• Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general OHS practises

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• A friendly customer focused attitude with the strive to provide a memorable experience
• Initiative to ensure that interactions with our guests are positive and efficient
• Previous Food & Beverage experience required
• Wine knowledge, appreciation for cocktails and barista skills is beneficial
• Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients
• A high standard of grooming and presentation
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate
• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and on weekends
