We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a passion for the real estate market who is looking to challenge themselves. The successful candidate will be empowered from day 1 to help drive profitability for the business through a strong emphasis in finding opportunities in the real estate sector, including brokers, real estate developers and other real estate investors

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Asian Special Situations Group (ASSG) specializes in the investment and management of a diverse portfolio of asset classes including private and public equities, structured finance, high yield / distressed credits, NPL portfolios and real estate. The successful applicant will be a member of the China deal team evaluating real estate investments across Greater China.
The role mainly consists of evaluating real estate related opportunities across different sectors as well as structuring and executing transactions with counterparties. You will also be responsible for origination and contribute to the broader real estate investment strategy within the group. The applicant must be able to interact with other members of the team, consultants and legal advisors, manage due diligence efforts and have the ability to extract information from a variety of sources.
  • Performing due diligence and financial / operational analysis on variety of real estate opportunities
  • Sourcing deals and building / maintaining a network of advisors and intermediaries
  • Working closely with senior members of the team in recommending investment decisions
  • Interface with external parties as necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5-7 year(s) of relevant experience in real estate sectors including brokers, real estate developers and other real estate investors.
  • Proven track record of leading the underwriting and closing of real estate transactions in major cities across China
  • Strong financial modeling (high proficiency in Excel) and accounting skills a must
  • Prior investing and/or markets experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to requests and deadlines
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extensive traveling should be expected
