Intel’s Systems Solutions Engineering team in Intel Foundry Services (IFS) is looking for a Security Architect with hands-on product architecture experience to join in our journey to create secure and world-class products and services. We are a new and vibrant team in IFS working with a true startup mentality, straddling several domains of security requirements, features, and infrastructure development. This puts us in a wonderful position to engage with adjacent and partner organizations in Firmware, Hardware, Validation, and across Intel and the industry, with hands-on impact to the end-to-end success of our products. In this position, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Intel's security technologies and products by closely collaborating with internal and external partners, on the delivery of Intel's security vision.
Responsibilities & Duties
This is a hands-on technical role that involves a mixture of developing architecture specifications, flows, designs, some coding, conducting reviews and pathfinding activities and establishing technical objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop architecture for security in custom SOCs (System on Chip) and companion processors.
- Define and prototype security mechanisms and contribute to threat model development for a diverse product portfolio in multi-chip packaging technology.
- Assess all potential attack vectors throughout the product lifecycle and mitigating through architecting mechanisms, establishing internal policies, and monitoring.
- Engage with ecosystem partners to bring advance new ways of securing our products based on industry's best and standard practices.
- Proliferate robust security principles through your technical contributions and evangelization into our organization work-practices, including threat modeling, secure code reviews, fuzzing & penetration testing, rapid resolution of security defects and promote Hackathon activities.
- Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
- Actualize knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories and attacks and proactively mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Influence, technically, silicon design teams, ASIC, Firmware, industry spec committees, peers, and managers.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with security architectures, designs, or implementations.
- Strong knowledge of the Security Development Lifecycle – adaptable to Intel practices.
- Expertise in architecture of and evangelizing robust security features for DNN Accelerators.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly analyze issues, diagnose root cause and apply corrective actions.
- In-depth understanding of security concepts, such as threat modelling, security lifecycle, secure HW/SW architecture, and design, knowledge of cryptographic application (algorithms, usage etc.), security implication of sharing memory coherently between Host CPU and CXL endpoints etc.
- In-depth knowledge of various CPU architectures, possessing ability to identify opportunities to enhance security, and detecting security vulnerabilities in integration of external 3rd party IPs in a multi-chip package design.
- Influence a Security-First mindset in IFS products.
- Possess multilayered technical expertise to lead Security initiatives and pathfinding efforts.
- Experience with firmware development environments including compilers, debuggers, and emulators.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated “self-starter” capable of collaborating across organizational boundaries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar, with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
