Security Manager/Intelligence, Emergency and Crisis Management

What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the intelligence, and emergency management and crisis management programs. You will support Amgen’s Global Security team in its mission to serve patients and protect Amgen's employees, assets and operations.
- Directly manage the Global Crisis Management program including working experience of structure, roles and responsibilities, notifications process, meetings management, action planning, debrief management, and Business Impact Analysis (BIAs).
- Utilization of the latest technology to support crisis management and incident response.
- Conduct intelligence research using open source, subscription, and security-related services to monitor and assess current and emerging threats.
- Identify, collect, and analyze information and intelligence on threats and vulnerabilities affecting a global corporation and disseminate that information to the appropriate partners.
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities impacting resources used within the company.
- Support the Threat and Vulnerability Assessment process to ensure proper prioritization of remediation efforts.
- Provide predictive analysis on existing trends and tactics to identify appropriate countermeasures.
- Understanding and experience in the implementation and adaptation of the intelligence cycle.
- Find opportunities for improvement in products, process and methods.
- Develop a proactive and collaborative relationship with other business units.
- Developing and administering tools that enable Intelligence, Emergency and Crisis Management programs to succeed.
- Provide training, as necessary, in intelligence matters and emergency and crisis response.
- Work as part of team that quickly adapts and responds to crisis situations that may impact a company.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree
Or
Master's degree and 2 years of corporate security, intelligence, emergency and/or crisis management experience
Or
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of corporate security, intelligence, emergency and/or crisis management experience
Or
Associate's degree and 10 years of corporate security, intelligence, emergency and/or crisis management experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of corporate security, intelligence, emergency and/or crisis management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of corporate security, intelligence, emergency and/or crisis management experience
- Experience with the collection and analysis of threat intelligence.
- Extensive experience using social media monitoring platforms, open source and paid databases in the government or private sector to support proactive intelligence gathering.
- Extensive experience with corporate emergency notification platforms such as Send Word Now.
- Understanding and experience using open source and subscription services to identify threats to company personnel and assets.
- Experience managing projects or programs, including prioritizing competing tasks, allocating resources, and adjusting to a rapidly-changing environment while meeting production deadlines, as well as the ability to delegate appropriately.
- Experience writing intelligence products.
- Understand of corporate intelligence gathering programs, and business continuity and incident command systems.
- Ability to be a team-focused, supportive leader and mentor to other team members.
- Commitment to collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
- Strong sense of discretion, ability to manage sensitive information, and experience working with top-level decision makers.
- Excellent presentation, writing and editorial skills.
- Ability to interact, influence, and build relationships with all levels of staff, management, and executives.
- Strong quantitative, analytical (technical and business) and problem-solving skills.
- Persistent, tactful, and persuasive team and project leadership, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage stakeholders/participants in fast-paced situations.
- Ability to manage tactical (daily) operations and participate in the development of strategic program plans.
- Strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with various teams.
