Intel's Product Assurance and Security (IPAS) organization is looking for a graduate intern to join a talented team responsible for strategically driving a government certification program across Intel. This is an ideal position for a smart, motivated individual who is passionate about delivering strategic value and working in a high-powered, collaborative environment.
The IPAS team is responsible for implementing and operationalizing proactive security and risk-prioritized measures for all of Intel's products.
Come intern with one of the largest engineering companies in the world. As a Security Research Intern, you will create, define, and develop processes to bolster a security certification program.
Length of the internship: 3 months with the possibility of an extension.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:
- Collaborating with engineers in building a robust platform to synthesize the regulatory specifications and requirements
- Collaborating with engineers to develop static code analysis tool custom checkers for SW
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research, or relevant previous job and internship experiences.
Minimum Requirements:
- The candidate must be pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related degree
- Hands-on knowledge of C/C++ or Python
- Broad knowledge of security concepts and standards
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards, frameworks, assessments, and audits (NIST SP800-140 series, NIST-CSF, NIST SP 800-53, etc.)
- Broad understanding of NIST and FIPS publications, and requires interfaces with Architects, Design Engineers, and Pre- and Post-silicon Validation teams building products to comply with the requirements

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
